I started working as a pixel artist in 2021. It’s almost 3 years now and I am still learning. For the evolution, as a beginner artist I started with smaller pixels and low palette and slowly shifted towards bigger pixels. I have many inspirations in pixel art and I constantly try to make my better like them.
Yes, I mostly specialise background designs and their animations and UI UX designs of the games . I also specialise in NFTs design and the Twitter, discord and twitch banners etc.
Every pixel artist have their own style. But as we learn and follow tutorials, we adapt to the art style of the tutor/mentor. But as we progress, We develop our own style without knowing 😀 I tried replicating the megaman and the street fighter for the few characters in the start when I was in learning phase and tried to learn the anatomy and develop my own style from that.
Yes, Here is my portfolio on Behnace which showcases my previously done pixel art projects including both static and animated design. https://www.behance.net/syedahumna

I use pixaki on iPad and sometimes aseprite for some work that pixaki can’t do. But When I first started, I used the photoshop on my laptop with the mouse and I had the phone with a pencil compatibility, I used pixel studio in that. I still use pixel studio in my iPad too. Every software has different tools that another don’t have so I keep all of these for quick working.
I usually gather all my files in a zipped folder and then Deliver to the client. The files included in that depends on the project, like for animations, it is mostly gif scaled up and in original size format and the sprite sheet of all animation. If client demands seperate Pngs of complete animation, I include that too. For the backgrounds and static sprites, I deliver a High quality PNG and original size PNG file. I also include the photoshop and aseprite files in all of my deliveries.
Yes, I do animations. I offer 8 frame animations for characters. Frames can increase or decrease depending on the animation complexity. I also do background animations for games and Twitter banners etc.
Yes, I have worked for several games. I have designed some complete games too. Attaching below is one of the flappy bird style game on which I worked, but it’s skateboarder instead of bird.
I mostly likes to do character designs and the backgrounds with the animations. And I also love working on NFTs too, I enjoy them. For the full game projects, I take these requests too depending on the availability of time.
The prices of my work depends on the pixel size and the complexity of the project. If the size is low and not much complex, the charges will be low. And if the size is bigger and more complex details are needed, then it will be more charges for this.
I always share the progress with the client as I start. I ask the relevant questions and make sure I get all the required details to start, then I draw the concept/sketching and show it to the client. They can ask for changes if needed and then when we finalise it, I proceed further with the clean up of the design and add Colours and shading in it. And if animation is needed too, I first show the final design to the client to make sure he is satisfied with this. And if he wants any changes, I will do. Then I proceed with the animation and same I keep my clients updated with this too. In this way, It is easy to completely work according to what the client wants and avoid any bigger changes in the end.
